I now offer a payment plans through Sezzle! To start a payment plan choose Sezzle as your payment method at checkout.
What is Sezzle?
Sezzle is a payment solution that gives you the freedom to buy now and pay later - with no interest!
- Choose Sezzle at checkout
- Your order is shipped right away
- Easy, automatic payments
How does it work?
Sezzle is a payment solution that empowers you to “Buy Now and Pay Later” with simple, interest-free installment plans.
Sezzle will break down the total cost of your purchase into smaller payments, spread over at least six weeks. As little as 25% is due at the time of the purchase, with the remaining amount spread out over equal installments (typically three), each two weeks apart.
No interest or processing fees are charged to you - as long as you pay everything off on time, you only pay for what you ordered!
Once you’re ready to check out, select Sezzle as a payment method. If you're a returning shopper, you'll just need to log in. If you're a new shopper, we'll walk you step-by-step through creating an account and linking a payment method.
After you’re approved and you complete checkout, the merchant will ship your products just like they would with any other payment method.
You will be notified at checkout what sort of payment plan you’re approved for, including how much is due upfront and when the next payments are due. We'll charge the first installment amount the day that you place your order, and the rest will be automatically scheduled. Don't worry - Sezzle will send you text and email reminders, so there aren't any surprises!
Who can use Sezzle?
Sezzle is available to shoppers in the U.S and Canada, you must be 18 years or older* and have a valid phone number based out of either the United States or Canada.
You will also need to have an email address as well as a payment method ready at checkout - we accept all major debit and credit cards, and you can also link a bank account directly. At this time, prepaid cards are not able to be used to place orders, but you can use them to pay off existing orders.
*You must be 19 years or older in Alabama, or if you are a ward of the state and live in Nebraska.
Does Sezzle charge interest?
No, Sezzle does not charge any interest if you opt for them as a payment option at checkout, so you have the freedom to buy now and pay later. As long as you pay your installments on time, you’ll only pay for what you ordered—free from interest and processing fees! If your payment is late, you may be subject to a late fee.
If you can't make a payment on an order, you can reschedule your payment with Sezzle for free. If you need to make further reschedules, each one will be assessed a $5 fee.
If a payment does fail, usually due to a card being canceled or there not being enough funds available in your account at the time, a $10 failed payment fee will be added on to that payment. This is separate from any overdraft fees your bank may charge you. We do send you text and email notifications to make sure you're never surprised, and if you get the failed payment resolved within 48 hours of it failing, we'll even waive that fee.
Once a fee has been paid, there is no way to reverse it.
Will Sezzle check my credit?
Yes, Sezzle will complete what’s known as a “soft check,” which means that they will take a look at your credit score as part of our risk check, but this doesn’t have an impact to your credit score. This information is used to help verify your identity, minimize fraud risk, and approve you for Sezzle!
Why wasn't my purchase with Sezzle approved?
Sezzle will conduct a screening process when you try to checkout, and if the user does not meet the requirements the transaction will be rejected.
Here are a few reasons you may have been denied:
- Insufficient funds. Typically, we check to make sure you have at least 25% of the total order cost available at the time you place an order.
- Outstanding balance(s). The amount you owe on previous orders and the number of open orders on your account both impact your chances of being approved by Sezzle. Paying off your outstanding balances can improve your chances of getting approved.
- Order value. Reducing the total cost of your order, or splitting it into two or three smaller transactions, can improve your chances of getting approved.
- Payments linked to your account. Adding another debit or credit card to your Sezzle account helps us understand your repayment ability, which can help get you approved.
If you have any further questions regarding this, please contact Sezzle support as they will be able to assist you further as we do not know the logistics of why transactions get denied.
